Nakiso Borehole Drilling CEO, Lincoln Masiyenyama has been awarded the Zim Community Awards (ZCN) in the business category.


The ZCN award recognised his business acumen and follows the one he received from the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe (ICDZ).

“Our highest focus in 2021 is to stretch ourselves so our clients get clean and affordable water and go beyond what is expected and leave them satisfied. As a focused company we can double the figures in 2021,” the CEO said.

The water provision entity has managed to thrive during the ravaging coronavirus pandemic. “We managed to grow during the trying Covid-19 era. We strived to make life easier for our clients, offering the cheapest, convenient and efficient delivery of water solutions,” said Masiyenyama.

Within a short space, the company’s personnel multiplied from the four original employees to over 27, and the figure is expected to double in 2021. From one car, Nakiso Borehole Drilling acquired seven operational vehicles to serve its growing client base.

Other ZCN recipients included, telecommunications mogul Strive Masiyiwa, businessman Philip Chiyangwa, and banker Nigel Chanakira. “We also have a big surprise for the day as we streamline our operations as a media house and we would like to thank all our partners for their support,” Masunda said, adding that they incorporated everyone.

At the awards, Chanakira pledged a $4,000 training package for Perfection Media’s the organiser of the Zim Community Award. For the gospel section Mechanic Manyeruke, Charles, and Olivia Charamba, and Michael Mahendere were also honoured. On the international gospel scene, the awards acknowledged Nigerian gospel singer Sinach.

Takesure Zamar, Blessing Shumba, and Methias Mhere are some of the rising stars that were nominated. Sinach was thrilled to receive the award. “I want to assure you that minister Sinach is happy about the award,” her manager told ZCN.
