Charlotte Dipanda is an Afropop singer and songwriter from Cameroon. She was born in 1985 in Yaounde, the political capital of Cameroon. She sings in French, Bakaka, and Douala.
Charlotte Dipanda began as a support vocalist in the studio and on stage. She worked with icons such as Manu Dibango and Rokia Traore before joining a gospel choir called “The 100 Voices Of Gospel”. The group was made up of over 100 singers and musicians. She eventually performed with the choir at the Zéniths of France sharing the stage with superstar artists such as Axelle Red.
In 2002, Dipanda delivered her first-ever record titled “Ndando” with the famous guitar player, Jeannot Hens. She was subsequently picked up by Congolese musician Lokua Kanza, in an open-mic session at a Yaounde club. She then relocated to France where she had the opportunity to also work with Papa Wemba.

The album hit the market with 12 tracks. Charlotte realized over 200 concerts with her first-ever album. She benefited profoundly from the legendary Richard Bona, appearing as the guest singer to kick-start all his concerts.
Two years later she dropped a second album titled “Dube L’am”. Guy Nsangue was again handed the task to marshal the project. The winning team stayed in place. The album is a mix of traditional, jazz and acoustic with lyrics in douala, bakaka and French with greater maturity. The album carried songs featuring Richard Bona and the famous Kassav singer, Jacob Desvalieu. It also produced a collaboration with Lokua Kanza who wrote the song Kumb’élolo.
On February 5th, 2015, Charlotte Dipanda delivered her 3rd album dubbed “Massa”. This time she took a keen focus on her home country Cameroon. The album arrived the market with ten super tracks.
